Is your reader losing sanity to your typos and semi-alien vocabulary?
Is your writing career devastated by fat finger syndrome?
Or even, is your English teacher mad at your incorrect punctuation, spellings and grammar usage?
Worst of all, do you believe great minds think (or write!) alike, while the rest of the world calls it plagiarism?
(((My head droops in shaming acceptance of a similar past)))
But as I continue to love what I write (and vice versa, I’m a newbie blogger and a student!), I have devised a strategy that helps me in two ways.
It saves me:
- time
- effort
But it also saves
- money (unless I opt to invest in a royalty!)
YOU, my friend, can also enhance the language of your write-up (or even replace good language items for better ones!) in lesser time and with lesser brain exertion.
And the best part,
It will cost you nothing!

HOW TO WRITE CORRECT ENGLISH: STEP BY STEP
Step 1: Install/Sign up for Grammarly
Go to Grammarly and sign up for a free account using a form that looks like
Now, enter your dashboard.
Step 2: Produce your eye-soaring piece of writing
Paste an old text (where it says ‘New’) that you intend to proofread or start typing in that text box. You will see a lot of red lines appearing underneath the errors like this
Step 3: Rectify the red underlines quickly using suggestions
Keep your eyes on the red underlines and correct each as you go till the text is cleared of them. Quickly go through all.
Step 4: Use Grammarly in combo
Grammarly works magic when paired with another app called the Hemingway app. Also free! So copy your proofread text from Grammarly and paste into this app. It will highlight in color codes what your sentence structure looks like. It will also give your sentences correct voice, and show some more vocabulary and spelling corrections.
If you can, let it sit for a day.
Step 5: Final Proofread using a g*dd@3n human brain
You’ll now want to read each sentence in full. Use your common sense and meanings in context as if the text is talking to you. Does it make sense? Good, move on! (If not, tweak it to your understanding)
Remember: A machine cannot fully replace the human mind!
