Good Girls Know (Or Learn!) Their Craft
Being the little pet of the house, my mom spared me all the time to enjoy life like the baby I was! She taught me absolutely nothing homemaking! But I’m still grateful to her.
No, I don’t say that because the consequent challenges made me into a world-class homemaker that I am today…
In fact, most days I can be a mess.
But I’m grateful to my mom because she taught me to ‘how to learn’. She taught me that every problem can be solved.
And here I am one decade later, willfully stuck in a home-making situation.
I only have 1.5 children right now. Seriously, how bad can it be, when moms tending to more 5x more kids each day are pulling it off better than I am. At least they look more rested than me.
Still, I have my lessons on learning with me. If I can decode unknown languages and digest the brute history of humans in the classroom, heck I’m going to figure this ‘stay at home life’ out too.
And I won’t be entirely lying if I say I’m getting better at it.
(Even though it took me 6 years to make an entirely round chapatti – food staple that is made/practiced three times a day, every day here!)
What a smart world the internet has created for us. Three oceans apart, I can connect with an expert mom who is 20 years ahead of me and take her lessons with the click of a button.
When the rubber met the road, I invested in premium resources by experts which helped me shorten the learning gap. But if you are anything like me with your homemaking talent, here is a list of my favorite FREE resources by some of the most inspiring stay at home moms.
5 Free Homemaking Resources For The Struggling Stay At Home Moms

4) HOW TO ORGANIZE ALL HOUSEKEEPING MATTERS IN ONE PLACE

I think she’s the only one of her kind on this planet. Her journey to successful single parenting with a large business, which started from a shelter home, is heart touching. And the products she has created for other moms to help ease their lives- most of them she offers for free (yes!!) to her email list. You’d be missing tons if you’re not on her list. You can find her free household binder here.
5) IF YOU’RE TERRIBLY OVERWHELMED RIGHT NOW
Check: ‘3 Strategies To Stop Feeling So Overwhelmed’ Webinar by Crystal Paine
If you’re overwhelmed, you need to listen to Crystal on everything she offers about productivity and time management. She has three kids she home schools, a house to look after like you and I do, and a BIG blog business too so she definitely knows how to juggle well! Listen to the webinar while you complete your house chores (e.g. vacuuming, dishes, folding laundry, cooking, errands etc) today.
Honestly, I haven’t taken this one at the time of writing this post but I recommend this because I have taken many of Crystal’s paid programs and she injects motivation into you! I plan on watching this when I get on my treadmill today.
WHAT HOMEMAKING RESOURCE SHOULD YOU CHOOSE IF YOU DO HAPPEN TO HAVE MONEY TO SPARE… AND TIME TOO!
You will have to pay for it if you’re lucky enough to catch it in time because it is mind-bogglingly cheap (think 98% off)! And if I had to recommend just one thing, or if I had to recommend something to my own dear sister, this will be the one.
But there’s one problem…
It’s not available all year long.
It is the ultimate homemaking bundle! It is only available for a few days once a year (or twice, depending on if they offer a flash sale later in the year or not). The next one comes out in spring 2019. It is a beast and you could potentially be missing out on A LOT (of drool-worthy bonuses at the very least) if you don’t know about it!
There is so much you need to know about this bundle, I have written a separate post: My Honest 2018 – 2019 Ultimate Homemaking Bundle Review.
SO, WHERE DO YOU START?
Before you pick any resource to invest your time in, ask yourself, what do you need help with right now? Don’t end up wasting time (which we don’t have much anyway) watching or consuming things that are in themselves connect to tens of more recommended products… don’t fall into this rabbit hole that will really not improve or ease your home life today. Just pick what you need help with most, use it as a tool, not as an engagement in itself to help you with your current struggles.
I hope you find help with these resources and something I shared makes your stay at home life better today.
You got this!
